Scholarship management

The scholarship is jointly managed by the coordinator, University of Padua (Università degli Studi di Padova, Italy) and the European host university. The host university is in charge of the academic matters related to the scholarship and of the scholarship instalment.  The payment of monthly allowances is due only on periods of study/research/work at the host university. The transfer of the scholarship is due by the host university on a regular basis according to the internal procedures of the host university.

The PhD and Post-Doc grantees selected in the first call for applications must start their mobility before 31/12/2012.

The PhD and Post-Doc grantees selected in the second call for applications must start their mobility before 31/12/2013.

Staff mobility can take place in any time within the project duration, and must end before the closing of the project, on 14.07.2015.

The duration of the stay at the host institution might be longer than the duration of the scholarship, depending on the study programme duration program (the Full PhD programme can be longer), but by no means the period of payment of the scholarship may exceed the maximum duration of the Project (14/07/2015) nor the date of awarding of the diploma (in case of Full Doctorate). ARTESS can finance up to a maximum of 34 monthly allowances for Full PhDs. The number of allowances is calculated on the basis of the starting date of mobility and corresponds to the total amount of months paid.

The scholarship consists of :

Subsistence allowance

The European host university provides a subsistence allowance according to the type of mobility for the duration of the mobility grant:

Doctorate (Sandwich & Full): 1.500 Euro per month
Post-doctorate: 1.800 Euro per month

Insurance (accident, travel, health)

The Coordination of the ARTESS Project  will provide each grantee with an international insurance policy offering a full coverage fulfilling the minimum requirements of the Erasmus Mundus Programme. Other mandatory national insurances that might be needed in any of the European Hosting Countries covered by the Project.

Travel costs

Each grantee has the right to a round-trip Argentina-Europa-Argentina, for a maximum cost of 2.000 Euro. The prepaid ticket will be purchased by the European Host University (except for grantees travelling to Universidade de Coimbra: their ticket will be provided by the Coordination of the ARTESS Project).

Other costs (visa, internal travels) will be reimbursed by the European host university after grantees arrival, provided that they hand in the original documents (invoices, tickets, boarding passes, etc.).
